| MapleStory 2 was brought up and it was said in a press conference (to introduce the new class Evan) that the development team for MapleStory 2 was created last year and has been in development.
That’s all what we get to hear, more details cannot be revealed at the moment.
At least, it is 100% confirmed that the sequel to MapleStory will be released in the future.
In 2010, there will be major updates. For instance, in winter, MapleStory will release a new class + another major update. And the next summer, they are thinking whether they should release a new class or update current ones.
It’s not a surprise that more classes will be created, seeing the two latest (Aran & Evan) belong in the ”hero” category.

| I am ok with Maplestory 2 but Evan seems just like cygnus or something but I only wish that the jobs like Aran and Cygnus have their own set of armor.  | |

| when i read ur post, i was like OMG then im like, if maplestory 2 comes out, wont it be kinda the same? i mean, if you really think about it, arans are basically warriors with pole arms (the combo thingy and the skills were probably taken thought with warriors but then saved for later) the cygnus knights were based on the official jobs (warrior, bowman, magician, thief) and the pirates? well they are a mix of bowman, warrior, and thief. even though im exited for the new maplestroy world, i still think they will just copy off of the current one, making it not so special. i mean, the most easiest was to think about it is how they will remis maplestory. i mean, if they go on the master computer, take the file maplestory and just copy it, they think its ok right? WRONG. if Nexon/wizet decide to make a new maplestory, the producers have to come up with new stuff so even the veterans (ppl who have played maple since it began) would like to join. that is all i needa say, if u think im against the creation, im not. all im trying to say is nexon/wizet is 80% incapable of making a 100% new maplestory
